Stewardship
Core Ministry Leader - Norma Ellington-Twitty

Ministry Focus:  To increase the congregation's knowledge and practice of stewardship by fostering responsible care and management of all God's resources and blessings as a gift for future generations.

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Luke 12:48

Supporting Ministries

  • Lay Leadership, a supporting ministry of Stewardship, shall recruit, nurture, and equip lay leadership for service to support the ministries and offices of the congregation. This committee establishes the criteria for church officers and core ministry leadership, conducts education/training to support the development of church leaders and the entity used for the nomination process in the church.

  • Property is responsible for the care, use, and maintenance of all church property, The Property chairperson is the overseer of all activities concerning property management such as maintaining an inventory of all property, furniture, vehicles, and equipment. The Property ministry is responsible for property insurance, bids, church rental, upkeep and any activities pertaining to property.

  • Finance: The Stewardship Ministry is also the management arm of the financial resources of the church. As good stewards over the finances, this ministry keeps the congregation informed of all monetary transactions of the church, the needs of the church, and educates the congregation of the importance of tithing as a spiritual principle.
